I love good scifi, absolutely love it. And I'll put up with a few bad words or innuendo, but when it gets gross, I draw the line. I read about half of this book and decided that was more than enough. The storyline was clever and had good potential, but it got bogged down in the author's focus on sex and violence, gritty and in-your-face. I was curious about how the story would end, but not nearly curious enough to subject myself to the rest of it.If that kind of thing doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy the story. That's your decision to make, and I'm certainly not judging. But I wish someone had written a review letting me know what was coming, so I could have avoided it. Now somebody has.

Different to anything I've read.
Well written.
Captivating action packed story.
I was given a free copy for an honest review. The story is full of many things to keep the reader interested. The ending was not what I expected but well worth the read.
This is definitely a different and terrifying story that got under my skin and stuck with me. The concepts addressed in this book are disturbing to think about and I love that this author went there! This is the first book I've read by this author and I wasn't at all disappointed. I highly recommend reading this to anyone and I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I think I've found a new author to love. It's difficult to explain my reading preferences because I love everything from the classics to Stephen King. Stories that are thrillers and involve a lot of intrigue and that throw technology into them are particular favorites. This novel has both. How creepy would it be if every event in history was recorded and accessible at a moments notice? Who might be interested in that information, and for what purpose. And what if the technology surpassed human intelligence and intent? I love all of the scientific and technological advances available to us today, but i have to admit I'm a bit on the fence about the loss of privacy issues that unavoidably crop up. In any case, I enjoyed reading Vanadium Dark, it was long enough to engage me during my bedtime reading ritual over the course of several nights. I actually had a hard time putting it down. I agree with another review who stated that this book could easily be extended into a series to explore more of the potential that it has presented. Looking forward to reading more from this author!!!

I've always been interested in this kind of situation. The idea of computers becoming self aware and not really knowing what they will do can be both fun and terrifying.
